Who we are
Pioneer Exterior Lighting is a family-owned exterior lighting company based in Portland, Oregon, serving Portland, Beaverton, Lake Oswego, Tigard, West Linn and the surrounding area. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

What we collect
We only collect information you give us, plus basic technical data about how people use this website.
- Information you provide. Your name, phone number, email address, property address, the type of work you are asking about, and anything else you write in a quote request, a text message, or a lead form on Facebook or Instagram.
- Website usage data. Pages viewed, approximate location based on IP address, device and browser type, and how you reached the site. This is collected automatically and is not tied to your name unless you submit a form.
We do not collect payment card numbers through this website.
How we use it
- To prepare your quote, including reviewing your roofline on publicly available satellite imagery before we visit
- To contact you about that quote by phone, text or email
- To schedule and carry out your installation, in-season repairs, and takedown
- To send you a reminder before the next season if you have been a customer
- To keep basic business records, including invoices and job history
- To understand which ads and pages bring in enquiries so we can spend our advertising budget sensibly
Phone calls and text messages
When you submit a quote request, you agree that we may contact you by phone call or text message about that request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not remove you as a customer and does not stop us calling you about scheduled work.
We do not sell your phone number, and we do not use it for marketing unrelated to exterior lighting.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We share it only with the service providers we need in order to run the business:
- Our customer management and messaging platform, which stores your contact details and our conversation history
- Our website host and form provider
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram), if you submit a lead form on their platforms, and for measuring ad performance
- Payment and accounting providers, for invoicing
- Anyone we are legally required to share it with, such as in response to a valid legal request
Cookies and tracking
This site may use cookies and similar tools, including analytics and the Meta pixel, to see which pages and ads lead to quote requests. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will not stop the site working.
We honor Global Privacy Control signals where your browser sends them.
How long we keep it
Quote requests that do not become jobs are kept for up to two years, in case you come back to us in a later season. Customer records, including job history and invoices, are kept for as long as we are required to for tax and accounting purposes. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.
Your choices
Oregon residents have rights under the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act, and you may have similar rights elsewhere. You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your information
- Stop contacting you

Children
This site is meant for adults arranging work on a property. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, including limiting who can access it. No method of transmitting or storing data is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted on the homepage.
